I have always enjoyed exploring outside. The bicycle provides a means to see parts of the world I would have never had a chance to see. I am always chasing that "100% day" where I don't unclip and clear everything the first time.
This started as a fun way to create new routes to avoid burnout and to build challening training courses. It made me think of Colorado Springs differently by connecting trail systems to ride longer but still hit the good stuff.
After looking into hosting races in the area, I quickly realized how expensive and limiting it can be. My answer to the red tape is to challenge ourselves using GPS instead of a traditional event.
So much of our trail work is done without praise and without us realizing the hard work. The secondary goal of DashRaces is to provide an opportunity to showcase that hard work and to provide support through fundraising at the prize ceremony.
